In 2004 Motion Pacific created an eight part television series called the Adventure Guide. This series travelled the length of the country to explore and celebrate New Zealand’s adventure culture. The Adventure Guide series also implemented a unique sponsorship model that involved portraying a Land Rover Defender like a ‘character’ in each of our adventure stories. From a brand marketing and product placement perspective, the Adventure Guide series continues to deliver exceptional return on investment – while also promoting a positive and enduring image of kiwi culture. The Adventure Guide series initially screened three times on TV ONE, it was then shown a further three times on the Documentary Channel and has also recently been licensed by TVNZ Heartland for an unlimited number of additional broadcasts.
